With profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will, the family of Loise Ngunju Gatimu announce her promotion to glory on Saturday, 13th June 2026.
She was a beloved daughter of the late Mzee Machira Gatecho and the late Watiri Machira of Ndimaini Village, Muchohi.
Sister of the late Wamae Machira, the late Serah Nyaguthii Waithaka, Edith Wangechi Kimondo, the late Ann Wanjiku Mahuthu, Grace Nyaguthii Karani, the late Muriuki Machira, Ann Gathigia Machira, the late Charles Njege Machira, Patriciah Wangeci Machira and Catherine Wanjiru Mureithi.
Devoted wife of the late Timothy Gatimu Gitonga. Loving mother of James Muchemi, Ann Njeri, Lucy Wanjiku, Elijah Maina, Peter Wamae, Susan Wangari, Samuel Gitonga, and Serah Wanjiru.
Mother-in-law of Rose Wairimu, Johnstone Macharia, the late Michael Mwangi, Margaret Wambui, Florence Wacuka, Mary Muthoni and Riri Ndegwa.
Her legacy lives on in her grandchildren: Timothy Muchemi, Loyce Muchemi, James Macharia, Timothy Macharia, Bernard Macharia, Regina Macharia, Timothy Mwangi, Naomi Mwangi, Loise Mwangi, Timothy Maina, Loise Maina, Loise Wamae, Muthoni Wamae, Timmy Gitonga, Teddy Gitonga, Muchemi Gitonga, Eliana and Joanna Riri and 4 great-grandchildren, Bella, Nathaniel, Jude and Ivana.
The cortege will depart Jamii Hospital Funeral Home in Karatina on Saturday 20th June, 2026 at 9:00 a.m and proceed for a funeral service at AIPCA Ndimaini Church. Interment will be on the same day, at her Kanyange home
