It is with much sadness and a sense of loss that we announce the sudden passing on of Linda Adede Ongola-Oyieke on 5th July 2026, in Mombasa.
She was the beloved wife of Victor Okoth Oyieke and doting mother of Courtney Hera and Bailey Geno. Linda was the daughter of the late Benjamin Odera Ongola and Mama Margaret Ongola of Awasi, Kisumu County, and daughter in law of Mzee Thomas and the late Mama Jane Oyieke of Kanyada Katuma, Homa Bay County.
Sister of Eric, Hon. Ada, Brenda, Edwin, May, Victor Ongola and the late Rosemary. Sister-in-law of Mary, Jael and Anyango Oyieke, Joel Obura and Jacob Muoga. Loved aunty of Marvel and Beulah Jacob, Chelsea, Trevor, Ben, Moses, Jibril, Judith, Faith, among others. Family include the larger Ongola and Ojuka, together with the Oyieke and K’Ochieng’ families.
Friends and relatives are meeting daily at their residence in Utange, Mombasa.
A major funds drive will be held at the Nyali SDA compound on Tuesday 14th July 2026, from 1700-2000 hours.
Funeral service will be held at the Nyali SDA Church on Wednesday 15th July 2026.
Thereafter the cortege will travel to Kanyada, Katuma Homa Bay County for the burial to be held on Friday 17th July 2026 from 10:00 a.m.
