It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Lay Canon Mary Wanjiru Nduhiu, who went to be with the Lord on 18th June 2026.
She was the firstborn daughter of the late Lay Reader Johanna Wangai, the late Martha Wanjiku, and Susanna Wathuti.
She was the beloved wife of the late Samuel Nduhiu Gitahi and a devoted mother of Roy and Susan Gitahi, Annette Kirigo, Martha and Simon Lee, and Rosalyn Muthoni.
She was a loving sister of the late Samuel Mwangi, Leah Wandia, Margaret Nyakeru, Mary Wanjiru (Junior), Samuel Mwangi (Junior), and Jane Wangui.
Sister-in-law of the late Paul Kariuki, Mary Muthoni, Margaret Nyawira, the late Jerioth Wangari, the late George Ndungu, the late Joseph Kingori, Jedidah Njoki, and Daniel Gichuki.
Family, relatives, and friends are meeting daily from 4.00–6.00 pm at ACK St. Peter’s Cathedral, Nyeri (Main Hall).
A funeral service will be held on Friday, 26th June 2026 at 11.00 am at ACK St. Peter’s Cathedral, Nyeri, followed by a private burial ceremony in Ruring’u, Nyeri.
