It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of James Njenga Githang’a of Waithaka, Nairobi County.
James was the beloved son of the late Senior Chief David Githang’a and Hannah Wanjiru Daudi, and stepson of Elizabeth Njoki.
He was the son-in-law of the late Gerald Gitau and Esther Njeri.
He was the dearly loved husband of Julia Nduta Njenga and a devoted father to Esther Njeri, Irene Wanjiru, David Githang’a, Gerald Gitau and Simon Ndung’u.
He was also a cherished father-in-law to Jürgen Thomas and Nessy Kawira.
Brother of the late Teresia Ngina Gitau, the late Esther Wairimu Njoroge, Lucy Wahu Ngonde, Felister Njeri Kibutha, Jacinta Wambui, Virginia Ndundu Kamuyu, Agnes Nyawira and Anastacia Wacuka.
His other siblings were the late Gerald Muchugia, Grace Ngina, Violet Wandithia, Priscilla Wangui, Samuel Njenga, Loise Wambui, Daniel Ndiba and Eunice Wanja.
He was a dear brother-in-law of Festus Mbae Muchiri and Charity Muthoni Mbae.
Loving grandfather of Benjamin, Mitchell, Julia, Raphael, Travis, Nathaniel, Ethan and Roman.
Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his residence, located opposite Nembu Primary School, for prayers and funeral arrangements.
The burial ceremony will take place on Tuesday, 28th July 2026, at Waithaka, Muthama.
The cortege will leave Montezuma Funeral Home at 8:00 a.m. A Requiem Mass will be held at St. Charles Lwanga Catholic Church, Waithaka, beginning at 11:00 a.m., followed by the burial ceremony.
