It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Gladys Wangari Mwangi (Wamuthogo) which occurred on Thursday 30th July 2026.
She was daughter of the late Jesse Muthogo and the late Ruth Wanjiku of Nyakianga Village, Mathioya, Murang’a County.
She was the wife of the late David Mwangi Kamakia.
Mother of Edwin M. Kamakia and Elizabeth Wanjiku, Julius Jesse Kamau and Rose Waithira, Mary Wangui, Joseph Wakaba Kamakia and Pauline Muthoni.
Sister of the late Josephine Wanjiru, Evan Gatimu Muthogo, the late Mary Wanjiku, Jane Wanjeri, the late Naftali Munyuku Muthogo and Susan Waithira.
Grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, friend and mentor of many.
Family and friends are meeting for funeral arrangements at Julius Jesse Kamau’s home at Oj-Ruiru and at her rural home Nyakianga Village from 4:00 p.m. daily.
The cortege leaves Kangema Funeral Home at 8:00 a.m. on Friday 7th August 2026. Funeral service will be held at A.C.K. St Stephen Church, Njumbi the same day from 10:00 a.m.
Thereafter she will be laid to rest at her home in Nyakianga village, Njumbi Location, Mathioya Sub-county, Murang’a County.
