It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Francis Gathua Wangũngũ from Kihuyo Village, Nyeri County.
Son of the late Wilson Wangũngũ and the late Damaris Wangari.
Husband of Lydia Wambui Gathua.
Father of Martin Wangũngũ, Kenneth Wachira and Moses Mwangi.
Father-in-law of Leah Wangari, Teresa Wairimu and Naomi Nyambura.
Grandfather of Acylene Wambui, Ainslee Wamuyu, Liliam Wambui and Tani Wambui.
Brother of the late Nyaruai, Muthoni, Nyakinyua, Nyaguthii, Wanjiku, Wahu, Mwangi, Wanjiru, Ngima and Gichangi.
Brother-in-law of William Wang’ondu, Linus Wachira and Lazarus Biu.
Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and burial preparations at his home starting from 4:00 p.m.
The cortege will leave Mathari Consolata Hospital, Nyeri on Wednesday 12th August 2026 at 8:00 a.m., followed by a church funeral mass at Kihuyo Catholic Church starting at 10:00 a.m. Thereafter, the burial service will be held at his home in Kihuyo, Nyeri County.
