It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mama Esther Wakarima Githua of Kamulu, Nairobi on 23rd September 2026.

Esther was the loving wife of the late Joseph Githua Kariuki.

She was the daughter of the late Mzee Kamoche Gathuna and the late Mama Mary Mumbi of Rurii Nyandarua county. She was daughter in-law of the late James Kariuki and the late Ann Wahu of Muruguru, Nyeri County.

Esther was the loving mother of the late Maxwell Kariuki and the late Josephine Njeri, Anthony and Eunice Kamoche, Gladys and Eng. John Karinge Ndinika, the late James Ichangai and Jane Njoki (UK), and Stephen and Njeri Mwangi (UK).

There will be an interdenominational service at her Kamulu residence on Sunday 4th October 2026 from 2 p.m.

The cortege will depart Montezuma Funeral Home, Mbagathi Way at 6.00 am on 6th October 2026 for funeral service at PCEA Ng’undu Church, Kamulu at 10.00 am followed by burial at her Kamulu farm, Nairobi County.
