It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden death of Eng. Henry Maina Kamau that occurred on Monday 15th June, 2026 at Aga Khan Hospital – Nairobi after a short illness.
Beloved husband of Salome Wangeci Maina. Son of the late Mary Nyambura and the late Matthew Kamau Gaatî. Son in-law of Mr. and Mrs. John Gaita of Nyahururu.
Father of Tiroka Kamau (National Construction Authority), Nyambura Maina, Perminus Gaita and Allan Karanja (Deloitte). Grandfather of Charlotte Joy Kamau.
Brother of Margaret Wanjirû and Stephen Mungai, Josphat Karanja and Felicity Mûthoni, Samson Mûhûri and Eunice Mûhûri (Eunitech), Harun Wairûgî, Esther Ntinyari, Mary Wayua, Nelius Wangui and the late George Njoroge Mutonya, Geoffrey Njoroge and Lydiah Muthoni, the late Ruth Wanjiku, James Thuo and Esther Wanja.
Brother in-law of Julius Maina and Jane Nyambura, the late Simon Gaita & Jane Muthoni Simon, Irene Gathoni Maina & Francis Maina Kibue, Dr. Tabitha Waithaka & Titus Waithaka, Loise Wanjiru & Wachira Mureithi, Janet Njeri Gaita, Gladys Wairimu Njiru & Dr. Njiiru Ngigi, Rose Murugi & Samuel Chege, Mr. and Mrs. Eric Wanjohi, Diana Nyambura & Simon Muchiri. The cortege leaves K.U Funeral Home – Thika Road on Friday 26th June, 2026 at 7:00am.
Burial Ceremony at Gacharage Primary School from 10:00am followed by Burial Rites at his Gateiguru farm, off Thika Kangari Road.
