ELDER GERARD MUTHAMIA – Funeral & Burial Details Kenya

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Elder Gerard Muthamia. Gerard was a teacher and headmaster in many schools. He started at Muitu Mwiru Primary Kaaga, Lururu Primary Kanyakine, Kionyo Primary, Kithangari Primary, Murungurune Primary and Machikine Primary.

He was a loving husband of the late Julia Igoki. He was son of the late Magret Kaimuri & Timothy M’Mburugu Kioga, late Maritha, late Rhodea & Jane Nyambura. He was a son in law of the late Katura & late Judah Ngaruni and late Jennifer Judah.

He was a loving father of Ruth Kuria, late Bildad Mwirigi, Anne Muthamia, Dorothy Mutegi, Janet Mugambi and Felix Kimathi. He was father in law of Dr. Nelson Kuria (CIC), Cllr Joseph Mutegi, Mugambi Elijah and Lydia Kimathi.

Brother of the late Josephine Mungania, late Charity Kirigia, late Agnes Mischek, Salome Kaburu, Ephanthus Gikunda, late Faith Rinkanya, late Charity Kaunange, Japheth Kiugu, late Silas Kibiti, John Mbaya, Rosemary Mburugu, Chege Kithinji, Gichunge, Kagendo, Karoki. He was step-brother of Paul Mwembu, Eunice Timothy, Rebecca Kiria, Wanja, Pastor Timothy Gikunda and Kithinji.

Brother-in-law of late Esther Gituru, late Agnes Machuguma, late Grace Kigiri, Silas Muthamia, Margret Silas, Gikunda Judah, Mburugu Ken among others. He was a grandfather of Cynthia, Caroline, Julia, Timothy, Kinoti, Gakii, Mwiti, Kawira, Kanyua, Nkatha, Makena, Eric Mutuma, Kiogora, Kinya and Mwenda. He was a great grandfather to many.

Family, relatives and friends are meeting at Karen, Ruth & Kurias’ residence and Monday 12th October 2026, Thursday 15th October 2026 & and Friday 16th October 2026, at All Saints Cathedral and at Gerards home Kionyo South Imenti Meru.

The funeral date is on Tuesday 20th October 2026 at Kithangari Primary School South Imenti Meru County.
