It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance that we announce the passing of Dr. Wellington Mulwa Mulinge, Director of Socioeconomics and Policy Development at Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organization (KALRO) on 1st May 2026.
He was the son of the late Mulinge Mulwa and the late Serah Ngina.
Dr. Mulinge was a devoted dad and a loving father of Magdalene Ngina, Jax Mulinge and Eleanor Mulwa.
He was a beloved brother of Agnes Ndinda, John Mulinge, Esther Nzilani, Margaret Mbithi, the late Dorothy Mbula, Stephen Mutuku and Harry Muinde.
Brother-in-law of Anne Mulinge, Bernedette Mutuku and Janet Wambui.
He was also a cherished and loved uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and support at his KALRO home and at AIC Milimani, Nairobi.
A memorial Service shall be held at AIC Milimani, Nairobi on Tuesday 12 th May 2026 from 1.00pm and thereafter a fundraiser shall take place at the same venue.

The cortege will leave Montezum Monalisa Funeral Home, Nairobi on Friday 15th May 2026 at 6:30am for a funeral service and burial at his home in Malili-Salama Village, Makueni County
