It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Dr. Mercy Njeri Chege on 28th September 2026 following a short illness.
Daughter of the late Stephen Muriuki Chege and Esther Wamuyu Muriuki of Karatina, Nyeri, mother of Emily Wangechi and Esther Wamuyu. Mother-in-law of Boniface Lenairoshi and George Wamae.
Sister of the late George Chege, John Mahiuhu, Peter Kwenjera, Meshack Macharia, Eliud Njaruiku and James Mwangi, Ann Wangechi, Jane Muthoni Kiura, Irene Warigia Maina and Joseph Maina.
The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home – Kabati on Tuesday, 6th October 2026 at 9:00 am followed by a funeral service and burial at her home in Mwanda Village (along the Kenol-Sagana-Murray highway), Gatundu Location, Mathira sub-county.
