It is with profound sadness and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Dr. Japhet Mutegi Kiragu which occurred on 27th August 2026. Until his demise, he was a Lecturer, Machakos University, School of Pure and Applied Sciences.
He was son of the late Mr. Alphaxard Kiragu and Ms. Agnes Ciamwari from Tharaka Nithi County.
He was father of Kevin Mwenda, Brian Munene and Rose Wanja.
Brother of Harriett Kagendo, late Josephine Kageni, Daniel Mutegi, Medrine Karimi, Jacob Kinyua, Monica Njeri, Ashford Mbuba, Fridah Murugi, Harun Gitonga and Nelly Wanja.
There will be a requiem mass at Machakos University on Wednesday, 9th September 2026 at 10:00 a.m.
The cortege leaves KUTRRH Funeral Home on Friday 11th September 2026 at 7:00 a.m. The funeral service and burial will follow thereafter at Ibiriga Church garden, Chuka, Tharaka Nithi County.
