It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dr. Emma Nyaboke Matuga, which occurred on September 29, 2026, at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Maryland, USA.
Beloved daughter of Mwalimu Shem Matuga Malak and Mama Mary Kwamboka Matuga of Nyamira Town.
Sister of Elifiah, Amos, Obed, Harrieta Matuga, Amon, Seth and Linus.
Sister-in-law of Henning and Mark. Aunt of Audrey, Adrian, Faraja, Harrison, and Rose.
Granddaughter of the late Malack Otwori and Truphena Kwamboka, and the late Jackson Onserio and Yunuke Mongina.
Her remains will leave Maryland, USA, on October 10, 2026, and arrive in Kenya on October 13, 2026.
The cortege will leave Montezuma Funeral Home on October 15, 2026 at 7am for Nyamira Central SDA grounds.
The funeral service will be held at Nyamira SDA Church grounds on October 16, 2026, after which Emma will be laid to rest at her father’s home in Bokimambia Sub-location, Nyamaiya Ward, Nyamira County.
