It is with immense pain in our hearts that we announce the demise of David Kenneth Kiarie Toro on 3rd August 2026 while undergoing treatment at Nairobi West Hospital.
David was formerly of Standard Chartered Bank and served as Chairman of the Standard Chartered Pensioners Group.
Son of the late Rev. Canon Hamuel Toro Kiarie and the late Josephine Njoki Toro.
Beloved husband of the late Susan Waithera Kiarie and later to Rev. Elizabeth Wanjiru Kiarie.
Father of Njoki and John Mwangi, Esther and Alex Kathuri, Millicent and Alex Mwega, Hamuel and Anima Toro, Dedan and Christine Mungai, Rev. Samuel and Elizabeth Munyiri and Collins Henya.
Brother of the late Millicent & late Duncan Kamau, the late Rachel & late Willy Kaniaru, Janet Wairimu, Rev. Dr. Arthur and Jane Ndungu, Hon Eng. Joshua Toro & Leah Toro, the late Eng. Ibrahim and late Emily Kagiri, Jonathan and Winrose Nganga, Tabitha Wahu, Emily and Kangondu Kimwe and Benjamin and Elishfer Maina.
David was an uncle and grandfather to many.
Meetings are taking place at All Saints Cathedral at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday 5th, Thursday 6th, Friday 7th and final meeting on Monday 10th August 2026.
A Memorial Service will take place on Sunday 9th August 2026 at St. Paul’s ACK South C Church at 3:00 p.m.
Funeral Service will be at Mairungi Primary School on Wednesday 12th August 2026, Kariti village, Kagundu-ini Location, Kandara Sub County, Murang’a County from 10:00 a.m.
Mourners will meet at Montezuma Kabati at 8:00 a.m. and thereafter the cortege will depart at 9:00 a.m.
