It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mrs.Catherine Wacuka Maina on 31st December 2025.

Daughter of the late Bedan Wamaita Wanjau and the late Rahab Njoki Wamaita of Mathare-ini, Kigumo, Murang’a. Beloved wife of the late Mr. Bob Maina Kirigwi of Mununga Village, Kigumo, Murang’a.

Doting mother of Rufus Kirigwi & Elizabeth Wanjiru, Mathew Mwangi & Jacqueline Wanjiru and Virginia Wanjiru & Gerishon Muthui. Dear grandmother of Catherine Wacuka, Bob Maina, Anna Ng’endo, Bobby Maina, Bella Wacuka and Azayliah Nyawira.

Sister of Zacharia Maina, the late Samson Njathi, Mary Wanjiru Njoroge (Wa Dave), Michael Wainaina, the late Joseph Gachuhi and Lydiah Wangui Kabiru. 

In-law of Charles & Susan Njoroge (Limuru), Lucy & FK Mugo (Mountain View) and Shellmith Nyawira Njuguna (Uhuru).

Sister in- law of the late Emily Waithaka, Willis Mbatia, Gadson Kamau, Jason Kimani, Charles Njuguna, the late Julius Gathitu, the late Joseph Kamau and Eunice Wanjiku (USA).

Relatives and friends are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at Our Lady of Rosary Catholic Church-Ridgeways-Kiambu Road at 5.00pm till  Wednesday 7th September 2026; her home at Kiukenda Estate-Jacaranda Street and Mununga Village.

The Requiem Service will be held at ACC&S Kariobangi South Church on Wednesday 7th January 2026 from 12.00noon.

The cortege leaves KU Training and Referral Hospital (Bypass) at 7.00am on 9th January 2026 for burial ceremony to be held at Mununga Village, Kinyona, Kigumo Sub-County, Murang’a County on the same day presided over by ACC&S Church.
