It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Geoffrey Kimotho Wanjohi, Retired Senior Commandant of the National Youth Service, of Engashura Village, Bahati Sub-County, Nakuru County.
Son of the late Solomon Wanjohi Kamau and the late Emily Wanjiku. Loving husband of Margaret Nyakeru (Wanjiku).
Father of the late Nancy Wanjiru & the late Jeremy Ngatia, Catherine Mumbi (UNICEF) & Dr. George Kut, Charles Wanjohi (Bic East Africa) & Margaret Wanjiru, Alice Nduta (Lumos), Lydia Wagio (Ideal Fostering UK), Lucy Muthoni (Maya Freight), Edwin Waweru & Lenah Njeri, Philip Kamau (UNHCR, Dadaab) & Joy Monje, Elizabeth Nunga (WFP), John Kaigua (Mirova) & Purity Kendi, Jackline Waithera & Eliud Njenga, and Dr. James Mwangi (Kerugoya Hospital).
A dear grandfather and great-grandfather to over 30 children. Dear uncle and cousin to many.
Brother of Lucy Muthoni Githinji, Ann Waithira Nganga, David Wanjihia, the late Felicita Nduta, the late George Kamau, the late James Mwangi and the late Agnes Wambui Kamau.
Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Engashura for prayers and funeral arrangements. Nairobi meetings continue until Wednesday, 1st July 2026.
The cortege leaves P.N.N Funeral Home, Nakuru on Saturday, 4th July 2026 at 8:00 a.m.
The funeral Mass will be held at St Michael Catholic Church, Kiamaina at 10:00 a.m., and the burial will thereafter take place at his home in Engashura, near Bahati Boys Senior School.
