It is with humble acceptance of God‘s will that we announce the death of our dear mother, Mrs. Mary Jerono Ogola (MJ) of Nyamonye,Yimbo, Siaya County on 17th June 2026 in Nyamonye.
Daughter of Mzee Jeremiah Murgor and Mama Agnes Senge of Cheplengu, Kapsabet.
Daughter-in-law of Petro Ogola and Paulina Waga Odhandha. Mother of Millicent Okal, Irene Mosi, Peter Waga, Aggy Ogolla, Dan Ogola, Tina Tamoi, Nashon Ajong’o (Pele), and Jeremiah Ogola.
Sister-in-law of Peter Esau and Margaret Ogola, the late Jacob Ogola, and Betty Ogola.
In-law of the Ajong’os,Arigis, Oguoks, Okembas, Opallas, Owalos, Owuors, and Wairomas.
Sister of Hellen Pondo, the late Meshack Murgor, the late Elizabeth Tenai, the late Judith Boit, the late David Murgor, the late Simeon Murgor, the late Paul Murgor, James Murgor, and Rose Murgor. Mother-in-law of Barrack Okal, Ken Mosi, Mario Morency, Sharon Waga, the late Rina Owiso, Celestine Opiyo, Anne Mawia and Ruth Ruguru.
Grandmother of many, and great-grandmother of one.
A fundraiser will be held at All Saints Cathedral on Tuesday, 30th June 2026 at 5:00 pm.
Funeral service will take place at the same venue on Wednesday, 1st July 2026, from 2:00pm.
The cortege leaves Aga Khan Hospital Mortuary, Kisumu, on Friday, 3rd July 2026, at 1:00pm, for burial at her home in Nyamonye, Siaya County, on Saturday, 4th July, from 9:00am.
