Raymond passed on following a short illness at Avenue Hospital, Parklands, Nairobi.
He was the son of Elizabeth Chepkwony and the late Peter Chepkwony, and until his death he served with the Ministry of Interior and National Administration.

He leaves behind his loving mother, Elizabeth Chepkwony; his brothers Oliver Kirui, Ronny Kirui, Erick Cheruiyot, Davis Kirui, and Emmanuel Kirui; and the memories of his late brothers George Kirui and Paul Kirui.
Ray will be laid to rest at their Kapkilaibei home, Kimulot Division, Konoin Sub-County, on Saturday, 20th June 2026.
