It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mama Trusila Bochaberi Kerina, which occurred on 8th June 2026 after a short illness.
Daughter of the late Magoma Ayiera and the late Maria Kemunto (Nyasakoro), Mokeira, Bochaberi, Nyarinda of Nyaboraire village, Gesima ward.
Loving wife of the late Peter Kerina and co-wife of Esther Meroka. Mother of Benson, the late Alice, Joyce, the late Omwenga, Hellen, Zablon, Gladys, Sarah, Caroline, Julius,Vane, Richard, Simeon, Evans, Irene, the late Isaac, and Justin. Mother-in-law of Jane, Susan, Cicilia, Gladys, Sabina, Wambui, Naomi, Priscah, the late Peter, Oyori, Ombongi, Ondieki, Felix, the late Ogeto and John.
Sister of the late Ayiera, the late Bochere, the late Okeyo, Nyakundi, the late Bwana, Steve, the late Oseko, the late Momanyis, the late Moraa, Florence, Pr. Magoma among others.
She was blessed with 31 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
The cortege leaves Chiron Hospital Morgue, Kisii on Sunday, 21st June 2026 for a funeral service.
Burial will be held on Monday, 22nd June 2026 at her home in Mochenwa-Geta village, Mochenwa Location, Gesima ward, Nyamira County.
