It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mary Muthoni Gicheru on 11th June 2026 after short illness.
Mary was the beloved daughter of John Gicheru Mwirigi and Catherine Wangui Gicheru.
She was formerly married to Sam Njoroge, and a devoted mother of McKenna Wanjiru Njoroge.
She was sister of Rachel Njoki, Amos Mwirigi, and James Warorua. She was sister-in-law of April Njoki, Peter Nyaga, Grace Wairimu, Esther Wanjiku, Preston Atali, and Grace Khui Nyaga.
Mary was aunt of Leo Lepinies, Liam Gicheru, Tonia Wangui, Isaac Mwangi, Jasmine Wanjiru, Jaron Kigos, Jayden Kahonoki, Adriel Onyango, and Avidan Kahonoki.
Family and friends are meeting daily at her rural home in Gikambura, Kikuyu, Kiambu County, for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege will leave PCEA Kikuyu Hospital Mortuary on Friday, 19th June 2026, for a funeral service at ACK Emmanuel Church, Kikuyu.
Thereafter, the cortege will proceed to her family home in Gikambura for interment
