It is with profound sadness and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Mama Elizabeth Sarange Ochoi, which occurred on 07/06/2026 at St. Mary’s Mission Hospital, Nairobi.
Wife of the late Mzee Augustine Ochoi Nchogu of Keumbu, Kisii County.
Daughter of Mama Paulina Moraa and Mzee Otwoma of Nyosia Village. Daughter-in-law of Mama Kerubo and Mzee Nchogu Obiri.
Mother of Lucy Nyaboke Joel, Agnes Marube Momanyi (Formerly of TSC), Richard Ochoi (Formerly of ICDC), Marcella Kerubo Ontiri (USA) and Philip Ochoi (The Jomo Kenyatta Foundation).
Step-mother of Gloria Ochoi (USA) and Jillian Ochoi (Greenlight Planet).
Co-wife of Mama Marcella Ochoi. Sister of Francis Onchwari, Eunice Kemunto and Charles Oriosa.
Mother-in-law of Joel Saka, Edward Momanyi (Formerly of TSC), Jerry Ontiri (USA), Mary Gesare Kamanda & Rose Chebet Omae (MSMEs).

She was a great grandmother to many. Aunt of Nyang’au, Nyakenywa, Onchari, Ochenge, the late Ogoti, Nyasuguta, the late Machira, Nyamwange, Edwin, Robert, Alice, Nchogu, Joyce, Sr Caren, the late Nyangaresi, Philip among others.
A fundraiser to offset medical bills and funeral expenses is being held today Tuesday, 16th June, 2026 at her Keumbu Home, Kisii County.
The cortege will leave Montezuma Funeral Home – Nairobi for Kisii on Thursday, 18th June 2026.
A Requiem Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Parish – Amasago on the same day.
Funeral service and interment will take place on Friday, 19th June 2026 at Chingoto Village, Keumbu, Nyaribari Chache Constituency – Kisii County.
