It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mzee Alexander Nalyanya Lichuma Mutali on Monday, 4th May 2026.
He was a loving first born son of late Lichuma Mutali and late Robai Mulosia, and step son of Norah Nekesa and Tunai Lichuma.
He was a dear husband of the late Rodah Nafula and Judith Kasuvo.
An adoring Father of late Susan, late Solomon, Ruth (Kibabii DTTC), Dr. Janet (Kibabii University), Esther (S.I.S), John, Kepha, late Milcah, Robai, Teresia, Nebert, Kingi, Nelima, Amos and Evans. Brother of late Loice, late Enock, Ennetty, late Kakai, Rose, Evelyn, Patrick Sitati, Ebby, late Reza, Jopic, Dr. Lonah (USA), Ruth (USA), late Nelima, late Abraham, Meshack, Patrick, Florence, Ann, late Violet, Jones, late Nelson, A .I .G Lenny, Enos, Catherine and Jotham.
Father-in-law of late Eng. Tare, Prof. Wanjala (SEKU), Dr. Nabiswa (MMUST), Nicholas (Lofty Corban), Eric (Nairobi), Ann, Evalyn and Mercy.
Brother-in-law of Charles Wakhungu and Ester Wanyama among others.
Loving grandfather of Joy, Enock, Obed, Aquinas, Kelvin, Mark, Comfort, Lichuma, and Mike among 42 grandchildren. Great grandpa of Sue Amara, Barbra, Jesse, Jewel, Breamz and Jayden. Cousin of Wamalwa Namwano, FS Wanyama, Jared Kiveu, Enos Holi, Hon Violet Makhanu, the Holi’s, the Namwanos Makhanus, Wanyams, Khaembas, Muyungus. Uncle, Mentor and friend to many.
Family, relatives, and friends are meeting daily for evening prayers at his home in Mikuva Village.
There will be a memorial service on 12/5/2026 at 10.00 am at Mikuva Residence.
The cortege leaves Delight Funeral Home for his home at Mikuva, Bungoma County, on 15/5/2026 at 2.00 pm for an overnight vigil.
The Funeral service and burial will take place on Saturday, 16th May 2026 at Mikuva Village, Bungoma.
