It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s divine will that we announce the passing of our beloved Grand Mother, Mama Dorca Ouko Janeno, on Thursday, 9th April, 2026.
She was the daughter of the late Mzee Obonyo and the late Margret Atiga of East Asembo. Wife of the late Mzee Ouko Janeno.
Loving mother of Agutu Ouko, the late Rose, the late Jane, the late Alice, Albert Ouko Janeno (CEO- African Home Adventure Ltd ), the late Caroline, Jack and Apollo.
Mother-in-law of Mary, Jane, Jackline, Benter and Maureen.
Step-mother of the late Jaduong Petro Okumbe, the late Michael Obilo, the late Francis Odero, the late Odaro, the late Rosa Anditi, the late Nyamwanga, the late Omulo, the late Leonida Nyadimo, the late Grace Okebe, the late Maria Osodo and the late Siprinah Okwach.
Sister-in-law of the late Okoko, the late Ndonga’, the late Midur and the late Otiato.
Loving sister of Misula, Pamela Akango’ among others. Loving grandmother of Marvin (Botswana), Ronny (Germany), Bradley (United Kingdom), Eleanore, Cindy, Michael, Awino, Oula, Rachel, Alice, Prof. Joshua Okumbe, Dr. Gaudencia Okumbe, Caroline Okumbe, Matthew Okumbe (Botswana), Dr. James Ouko Okumbe-Deputy Governor Emeritus (RSA), Hon. Ken Obura, Ouko Obilo, Asigo, Bishop Paska Odero, Odongo Abungu, Abeta among others.
The body is at Bondo Mortuary, Bondo Sub-County.
The cortege will leave on 23rd April 2026 for funeral service at ACK Mbeka Parish and thereafter for a night vigil at her home in Wagusu Village, Central Sakwa, Bondo Sub-County.
The burial will take place on 24th April 2026.
