It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mwalimu (Retired) Francis Mecha Osoro of Egesieri Village, West Mogirango, Nyamira County.
Mzee Mecha was husband of Rhoda Monyangi and Yukabeth Nyasuguta.
He was father of the late Ndubi, the late Pamela, Jane, Joyce, Salome, Grace, Peninah, Vincent, Damackline, the late Kepha, the late Alfayo, the late Advocate Geoffrey, Joseph, George, the late Zipporah, the late Nyambane, Millicent, Caroline, Calyster, Concepta, and Marleen.
He is survived by two wives, fourteen children, fifty-one grandchildren, and twelve great- grandchildren, as well as many nephews, nieces, in-laws, and extended family.
Mzee Mecha was a beloved brother of the late Nyangweso Mamboleo, Keremensia Kerebi, the late Omenge, Mellen Mariko, Kamanda and the late Bundi.
Father-in-law of Lilian, Catherine, Hellen, Joseph Kimotho, William, Josphat, Carlos and korera of many, including the late Johnson Nyairo Omwena, the late Elizabeth Nyairo, James Nyauma, and the families of the late Pompilio Pagliaccia, the late Festo Atoli and the late Fennah Obutoya, Mark Miyogo,Yuniah Bochaberi, the late Joshua Njoroge, Mary Wangui, Samuel Ongeo, Rudia Ongeo, Anyota Bisase, Keremesia Nyaboke.
Mzee Mecha was brother-in-law In-law of Mamboleo, the late Morwabe, Mariko, Retired Chief Inspector Samuel Omenta, Ochengo.
Nephews are Agnes Onchana, Monica Omenge, James Bundi, Charles Osoro, Charles Mamboleo, Mayieka Mamboleo, Stephen Mamboleo and Makori Mariko.
He will be laid to rest on Friday, 29 th August 2025, at his home in Egesieri.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
