It is with heavy hearts and sadness that we announce that Mugambi Kiai passed on, on 23rd February 2026.
He was the Regional Director at Article 19, Eastern Africa.
He was the husband of Nduta Njoroge-Mugambi of Equity Bank, and loving father of Anaya Gathoni Wakonyo Kiai.
He was the dear son of the late Bethuel Kiai Gachanja and Assumpta Wakonyo Kiai, and cherished brother of Grace Wanjugu Kiai, the late Gachanja Kiai, Wambui Kiai, Maina Kiai, Njeri Kiai, Nduta Kiai and Ngure Kiai Mugambi Kiai was a son in law of George Njoroge and Teresia Gathoni.
He was also a brother-in-law, uncle, “grandfather” and friend of many.
Family and friends are meeting at 5:30pm on Tuesday the 3rd March 2026 at All Saints Cathedral.
There shall be a memorial service at All Saints Cathedral on Wednesday the 4th of March 2026 at 2.00pm
The cortege shall leave Montezuma Funeral Home Kabati (Thika Road) at 7:00 am on the 5th of March and proceed to their family home in Nyaribo Village, Nyeri County for burial at 11:00 am.
