The family of the late Eliud Gatungu Wanjohi regrets to announce his peaceful passing on 26th February 2026, in his sleep. He was born in 1938.
He was the beloved husband of the late Agnes Wangu Wanjohi.
He was the son of the late Joel Munegene Wanjohi and the late Caroline Wambui Wanjohi, and father of Magdalyne Wambui, Cosmas Wanjohi, Mark Wanjohi, James Nyiha, the late Charles Ndaraiya and Dr. Paul Wanjohi.
He was father-in-law of Patrick, Aggie, Catherine, the late Anne and Ruth. Grandfather of Brian and Becky,Vernon and Cate, Alvin and Chebet,Wendy, Cody, Wangu, Charles, John Paul, Adrian, Anuarite, Terence, Eleanor and Ella. Great-grandfather of Neil, Roman, Tai and Tele.
He was brother-in-law of the late James Ndaraiya Magenda, the late Eunice Wangui Wachuga, the late Wanjiku Kibichi, the late Joseph Wanjohi Magenda, and Agnes Ngima Wanjohi, and he has left behind numerous nephews and nieces.
Holy Mass will be celebrated at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Parklands, on Tuesday, 3rd March 2026, at 10.00 a.m.
The cortège will leave Kenyatta University Referral Hospital Mortuary at 6.30 a.m. on Wednesday, 4th March 2026, for funeral and burial at Miigua Village, Kaharo Location, Mukurweini, Nyeri, at 11.00 a.m.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
