ESTHER ACHIENG OMEDO – Funeral & Burial Details Kenya

It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, daughter-in-law and family member, Esther Achieng Omedo, which occurred on 22nd September 2026 at The Nairobi Hospital.

Esther was admitted to the Nairobi Hospital following complications arising from pre-eclampsia, which necessitated the delivery of her newborn premature baby. Sadly, her condition deteriorated and, despite medical intervention, she suffered a cardiac arrest and passed away on 22nd September 2026.

Esther was the beloved wife of Mr. Brian Odhambo of the Directorate of Immigration Services. She was the daughter of the late Joel Omedo and Mrs. Janet Omedo of Asembo Ruma kokidi, and beloved daughter-in-law of Mrs. Monica Ojoya. She was a loving mother of Hillary, Innocent, Shayne and baby Liam Joel Hawi. She was a cherished sister of Lilan Omedo, Susan Omedo, Samuel Omedo, Allan Omedo, Harry Omedo and David Omedo. Step-mothers are Mrs. Dorine Omedo and Prisca Alaro. And several step brothers and sisters. Esther will be fondly remembered for her love, kindness, warmth and generosity, and for the special place she held in the lives of her family, friends, colleagues and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home on Thursday, 15th October 2026 for her final journey to Mutwala, Muhoroni Sub-County, Kisumu County. She will be laid to rest at her family home in Mutwala on Friday, 16th October 2026.
