It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of our beloved Dr. Stephen Kajirwa Keverenge, formerly of KISE, IRC and UNHCR where he served until his retirement.
He was a beloved son of the late Solomon Keverenge Yamegele and late Ruth Javeha Keverenge and stepson of the late Norah Keverenge. He was a loving husband of Mrs. Janet Muhalia Kajirwa. Father of David Kajirwa, Emmaculate Kajirwa, Velma Kajirwa, Perris Kajirwa, Presley Kajirwa, Wesley Kajirwa and Edgar Kajirwa. Father-in-law of Estherlley Keverenge, Rodney Fields and Sheryl Musavata. Grandfather of Lionel Keverenge, Luctus Keverenge, Liana Keverenge, Rayden Fields, Rylan Fields, and Tatiana Kavuli. Stepbrother of Tsisiga, Ezina, Febe, Temla (late) and Mary. Cousin of the Mudanganyi’s, Alovis’s, and Musavata’s. Uncle, friend, teacher, and mentor of many.
The burial will take place at his home in Budaywa Village, Sabatia Sub-County, Vihiga County on Saturday October 17, 2026.
