It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Ephanthus Silas Gitonga Karere, which occurred on 04/10/2026 at Gracepack Hospital – Meru.
He was the beloved husband of Lucy Murugu Gitonga and father of Kiambi, Muthuri, Gakii, Mwenda and Mutai.
He was brother of the late Gilbert Kirimi, the late Lucy Wanja, the late Danstun Mbaa and Bridget Kajuuju.
He was a loving uncle and grandfather to many, and great-grandfather to Fred Hawi Waiganjo.
Family and friends are meeting daily at Nyombayathi Village, Kanyakine – Meru County from 4:00pm for prayers and funeral arrangements. The funeral service and burial will be held at Pcea Kirimene Church – Kanyakine Parish on 13/10/2026.
