It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Dr. Rufus Mburia Rumberia.
Dr. Rumberia was the son of the late Robert Kubai Mucaaara and Agnes Karai.
He was the beloved husband of Mrs. JaneRose Muthoni Mburia.
Devoted father of Ms. Polly Mukami, Mr. Martin Kubai, Dr. Cecilia Njeri, Dr. Beatrice Karimi and Wakili Antony Mutugi.
Father-in-law of Mr. Erick Kaburu, Ms. Florence Bacha, Mr. Kevin Waruhiu and Dr. Peter Njane.
Cherished brother of Doris Kanyua, the late Faith Kaguthi Njagi, Richard Nkonge, the late George Kibara, Gatrude Njeri, the late Jones Riungu, the late Benedict Miceka, the late Caroline Igoji Njeru, the late Roselyn Ruguru, Joyce Muya, the late Mwandiki Robert, Catherine Kaari, Juliet Mukwaiti, Fridah Kanjiru, the late Dorothy Karimi, Mutegi Robert and Evans Mwenda.
Proud grandfather of Bruce, Levis, Tamika, Victoria, Eli-Jayson, Taji, Talia and Imani.
The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Funeral Home – Thika Road, on Friday 11th September 2026 at 6:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at Destination Hotel grounds, Kiriani, Chogoria, Meru at 10:00 a.m.
Interment will thereafter take place at home in Kieni Village, Chogoria.
