It is with humble submission to God’s will that Rt. Rev. James Maina Wainaina, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Murang’a, announces the passing on of Rev. Fr. Anthony Chege Muthama.
Until his demise, Fr. Anthony Chege was the parish priest at St. Pius X Mariira Catholic Parish.
He was the son of the late Zaverio Muthama and the late Basiliana Wambui.
Brother of the late Gilbert Miako, Joseph Gichane, the late Paul Mugane, John Macharia, Peter Kariuki, Alice Njoki and Rose Nyambura.
The cortege leaves Our Lady Consolata Kiria-ini Funeral Home on Monday, 14th September 2026, at 7:00 a.m. for the Funeral Mass and Interment at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Murang’a, from 10:00 a.m.
“Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.”
