It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of our dear matriarch, Mary Wangui Gundi, which occurred on Saturday, 25th July 2026.
She was the beloved wife of the late Laban Gundi Kamwaro.
Mother of Grace Wanjiku, Lawrence Kamwaro, Caroline Wanjiru, the late Mwenje Gundi, Florence Nyawira, Jane Nyaguthii (USA), Isabel Wanjira, Charity Nyangati, Senior Chief Joseph Muhoro (Ngorano Location), Catherine Waruguru (Kenafric Industries), James Nduhiu (USA), and Francis Muya (Kahira-ini Primary School).
Mother-in-law of the late Anderson Macharia, Esther Wangui, the late David Kinyanji, Joseph Wahome, Dickson Kigango, Catherine Wanjugu, Ndikwe Gichangi, Jane Nduhiu, and Wangeci Muya.
Grandmother and great grandmother to many.
Daily prayers are being held at the family home from 3:00 p.m.
The cortege leaves Jamii Hospital Mortuary, Karatina Town, on Saturday, 1st August 2026 at 8:00 a.m. and thereafter proceed to PCEA Ngorano Church for a church service starting at 10:00 a.m.
The burial will take place immediately after the service at the family home in Gatung’ang’a Location, next to Ngorano Polytechnic.
May her soul rest in eternal peace.
