It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Hon. Lucy Nyambura Kihumba, formerly of Barclays Bank Nairobi and former MCA Menengai West, Nakuru, that occurred on 31st July 2026.
Daughter of the late Evans Wanjema and Wambui Wanjema of Karatu Village, Gatundu.
Wife of the late Evans Mwangi Kihumba of Nakuru Ol’Rongai.
Mother of the late Lydia Wambui, the late Anthony Kihumba, Eric Kihumba (USA) and Susanne Wanjiru Cooper (USA).
Sister of the late Jostina Githae, late Joseph Kimata Wanjema, Michael Kiarie Wanjema, Dorothy Waceke Njau, Njoki Osotsi, late Wairimu Ukiru (USA) and Wanjiru Wanjema (UK).
Sister-in-law to the late Jane Njuguna, late John Njuguna Ruigu, Ephantus Njoroge Kihumba of Githia Githunguri, James Kihumba Njenga of Githia Githunguri, Elizabeth Njeri Gicharu of Limuru, Grace Njeri of Longonot and Jackson Ukiru Inima.
Aunty to James Njuguna (Safaricom), Dr. Julius Kariuki, Mwangi Githae, Jane Wairimu Kihumba among many others.
She was the grandmother of Githiri, Shiku, Nyambura, Kena, Christian, Joy, Erika, Neema and Eli.
She was a cousin, mentor, sponsor, and friend to many.
Meetings are being held daily at her home in Milimani Phase 2 from 5:30 p.m. for prayers and funeral arrangements.
The cortege will leave Umash Funeral Home Nakuru on Thursday 20th August 2026 at 8:00 a.m. for service at Holy Trinity Catholic Church Nakuru at 10:00 a.m. before her final journey to her Ol’Rongai Farm, Kabarak.
