It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Mrs. Anastasia Okuna Otieno.

She was the loving wife of the late John Otieno Odero.

Daughter of the late Laurenti Oresi, the late Maria Ogalo Olal and Flora Aludo Olal.

Daughter in law of the late Stefan Odero and the late Bendetta Odero.

Cherished sister of the late Sophia, the late Paul Okombo, Sabina Oganga, Rebecca Ojina, the late Regina Opundo, the late Rosalia Ayaga, Sophie Omondi, the late Josephine Olal, John Kennedy Olal, Merica Akinyi, the late Anton Olal, Romanus Olal, Mourine Olal and Paulo Olal.

Adored mother of the late Michael Oscar Mainya, Catherine Nyawire Ng’oche, the late Fidelis Otieno, Caroline Jacqueline Waliuba, Joan Maureen Davis, Lilian Benadette Adoyo-Kielty, Chris Omondi, Ignatius Stephen Odero and James Romanus Ogweno.

Mother in law of Catherine Mainya, Amos Ng’oche, Michael Waliuba, Calvin Davis, Ed Kielty and Dr. Maureen Akubu-Odero.

Beloved grandmother of Fiddelice Mainya, Adam Mainya, Marcus Ng’oche, Joanna Waliuba, Aaron Waliuba, Maya Okuna Ng’oche, Anastasia Mainya, Savannah Davis, Jerome Waliuba, Cecilia Okuna Ogweno and Tanaai Odero. Great grandmother of Peniel.

The cortege will leave Kirindo Mortuary (Mbita) on Thursday 2nd October 2025 at 1.00pm for Requiem Mass at St Charles Lwanga Nyabera Catholic Church at 2.00pm.

Thereafter proceed to her home in Komanda Village, Kaksingri East, Suba South, Homabay County, for a night vigil.

Interment will be at her home on Friday 3rd October 2025, with Requiem Mass at 1.00pm.
