It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing on of Samson Gichobi Njagi, which occurred on 3rd April 2026 at Imara Hospital Embu after a long illness bravely borne.
Son of the late Njagi Muriimi and the late Margaret Wanja Njagi of Nguka, Mwea. He was the son-in-law of the late Mr and Mrs Macharia Mugane.
Beloved husband of Margaret Gicobi, formerly of PGH Embu and the dedicated father of Antony Macharia, the late Lincoln Njagi, Joseph Gitari, Duncan Mugane & Julia Mugane, Maryanne Waweru & Godfrey Waweru, Judith Wambui, and Elizabeth Kuny & Michael Kuny.
Doting grandfather of Warren Gichobi, Lauren Muriithi, Gicobi Gitari, Wanjiku Gitari, Osteen Gichobi, Torrio Ng’ang’a, Imani Agnes Mbaire, Henry Mwaura and Alisa Wanjiku.
Brother of Stephen Machuka, Robert Muthee, the late Robin Muchira, Ted Kigundu, the late Wakathima, Philip Gitari, Mary Wakaria and Jane Wakithegi.
Brother-in-law of the late Wakabari, the late Muringo, Mugane, Wambui, the late Wamboka, Wangu, Makenji, Dunguru, Waguama, and Winnie.
He was a loving uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Funeral meetings are being held daily at his residence in Itabua, Kambo in Embu.
The cortege will leave Gakwegori Funeral Home in Embu on Monday, 13th April 2026 at 8.00 .
Funeral service will be at PCEA Itabua Church Grounds, Embu starting at 10.00 AM with burial following later at the family farm in Kambo, Itabua, Embu.
