The family of Obonyo Yahuma, Redeemed Gospel Church Inc and Bishop Jonah Obonyo – COPMI wishes to announce the untimely death of Rev. Michael Okello Obonyo which occurred on 31st August 2025 in Westland’s Specialist Hospital.
He was the son of the late Mr. Mehujael Obonyo and Mama Milka Okumu Obonyo.
Step son of the late Turfena Athieno and Rosa Anyango all of Gondho Village, Simero of Ugunja Constituency of Siaya County.
He leaves behind a wife Milkah Atieno and three children Mark, Moses and Mercy all of U.S.A. He was brother of Alfred, Richard, Bishop Jonah Obonyo of Cathedral of Praise ministries among many others.
Memorial service will be on Tuesday 16 th September 2025 at R.G.C HQ – Huruma Nairobi from 11:00AM – 4:00PM.
Burial will be on 19th September 2025 at Gondho Village, Simero of Ugunja, Siaya from 10:00AM-6:00PM.
There will be a fundraiser to offset the hospital bill on Friday 12th September 2025 at the All Saints Cathedral from 5:00PM-8:00PM
