It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on to glory of Rev. Dr. Elijah Kimonye Mbogori on the 9th of October 2025 after a short illness.
Rev. Dr. Elijah Kimonye Mbogori was the beloved son of the Late Ezekiel Mbogori and the late Tabitha Nkirote of Kathiranga Village, Katheri, Meru
Husband of the late Beatrice Mwendwa and Christine Wathuku. Father of Edna Nkirote, Grace Kinya, John Gitonga and Esther Mwikali, and Nancy Wangui.
Loving Grandfather of Hadassah Mumbe, Hakeem Mungiriria and Kareem Amani.
He was brother of the late Julia and Njuki, the late Florence and late Ringeera, the late Kinyua and late Esther, the late Maureen and late Muriithi, Jennifer and the late Kimonye, late Naomi and late Mwiraria, Margaret and Murugu, the late Isaiah Mwongera, Josephine and Mwirigi, Bundi and Jennifer.
Rev. Dr. Elijah Mbogori was a beloved In-law, Nephew, Cousin, Uncle, Friend, Teacher and Shepherd to many.
Prayers and funeral arrangements will be held at Lavington United Church today Monday 13th October at 6.00pm and Wednesday 15th October at 4.00pm.
Thereafter, a memorial service will be held in his honor at the same venue on Thursday 16th October at 11.00am.
The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home, Mbagathi, for a burial service at his Kajiado Farm on Friday, October 17, 2025 at 8:00am.
