We regret to announce the passing of Rachel Waithera Karau which occurred on 4th October 2025 at her home in Kangemi.
She was the mother of Charles Karau Waithera. She was the daughter of the Late Charles Karau Thande and the Late Jedidah Wanjiru Karau.
She was the sister of the Late Monica Wangunyu,Judith Njenga, Margaret Karau, the Late Peter Thande, Mary Muchina, Rita Gitu, Peninah Wambu, Alice Karau, the late Njubi Karau and John Thande.
She was the sister-in-law of David Wangunyu, the late Francis Njenga, Prof. Peter Gitu and Prof. Christoper Wambu.
She was an auntie, grandmother, cousin and friend to many.
The funeral service will be held at her late parents’ home in Kangemi kwa Nyungu on Tuesday 14th October 2025 starting from 11:00am.
She will be laid to rest at her parents’ home
