PHOEBE ATIENO OKEMBA OWOKO

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of the late Phoebe Atieno Okemba Owoko, which occurred on 6th October 2025 at Kenyatta National Hospital after a short illness. 

She was the beloved daughter of the late Mwalimu Raphael Owuory Okuthe and Mwalimu Elizabeth Aketch Owuory, and the loving wife of the late Eng. Melkesedek Okemba Owoko.

She was a devoted mother of Eng. Wendy Akinyi and Jairus Odhiambo. 

A cherished sister of Bernard and Christine, Caroline, John and Beatrice, Collins and Ann, Boniface and Belinda, and Robert, from North Kabuoch, Konyango and a dear sister-in-law of the late Elija, Dr. Habil, Joyce, Mw. Caleb, Habakuk, Jane, Rev. Anne, the late Owino, Aggrey and Ev.Richard.

She was an aunt and friend to many, whose kindness and compassion touched the lives of all who knew her.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her Malaa residence for funeral arrangements.

A harambee to support funeral expenses will be held on Tuesday, 21st October 2025, at All Saints’ Cathedral, Nairobi, starting from 4.00pm

The cortege leaves Chiromo Funeral Home on Wednesday, 22nd October 2025, for a funeral service and burial at her home in Nyamila Village, North Alego Location, Siaya County on 23rd October 2025.
