We regret to announce the passing on of Peter Maina Karanja (retired teacher) and Former Director Ikumbi Tea Factory.
Husband of the late Cecilia Wambui Maina and his siblings were the late Chege Karanja, Wilson Kuna, Eliud Kiragu, Kimemia Karanja, Pauline Nyambura and Susan Njeri.
Father of Charles Karanja, George Mburu, Ruth Wanjiku, Mary Wairimu, Boniface Chege and Emma Nyambura.
Father in law of Julia Kendi, Anthony Kigenyi, Julia Njeri, Alice Waithera and Samson Kamau.
Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Karinga village, Kangari, Kinyona Location Murang’a County for prayers and funeral arrangements.
The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home, Kabati on Thursday 4th September 2025 at 7:00 am for a funeral service at Karinga Secondary School ground.
He will later be laid to rest at his home in Karinga Village.
