Son of Stephen Gachanja Kang’oro and the late Naomi Wanjiru Gachanja of Kiandege Sub-Location, Njabini Location, South Kinangop, Nyandarua County.
Brother of the late James Kamau, Mary Wanjiku, the late Joseph Ruara, the late David Wanjama and the late John Chege.
Brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Cherished husband of Martha Kairu of Virginia, USA.
Beloved father of Stephen Maina Kairu, Caroline Wanjiru Kairu and Martin Njora Kairu of USA.
Dotting grandfather of Yazmine Wambui Maina and Ethan Kairu Maina.
Family & friends are meeting daily at his parents’ home in Kiandege, South Kinangop, Nyandarua.
A memorial service will be held from 11am on Friday February 13th, 2026 at the same venue.
The funeral service will be held on the same day at Mims Funeral Home in Richmond, Virginia, USA from 12:30-2:30pm (GMT-5) and will be live-streamed for family & friends outside the US.
