She was the beloved wife of the late Philip Barare Oburu and daughter of the late Momanyi Nyameino and late Milka Kerubo Momanyi.
Loving mother of Caesar Oburu Barare (Kenyatta National Hospital), the late Emmanuel, Gladwell, Merriment, the late Aristotle,Eric, and stepmum to Nelly, Dolphin, and Hilda.
Omong’ina was sister in-law of the late Ogeto, the Mokua, Nyariki, Marube, Asande, Riechi, Ogechi, Jemimah Abincha, the late Ogaro Ombuna, Jeremiah Moturi, Margaret Okeke, the late Zablon Nyabero (Tealand), the Nyarikis, and the Ateras, among many others.
Mother-in-law of Mercy Mwikali and Divinah Nyaboke; korera of Mwalimu Paul Kimanzi & Mrs Josephine Paul, Mama Sabina Mbithi and Mzee James Basweti Orangi aka Bikundo.
Adored grandmother of Hafsa, Elvis, Imani, Natasha, Ndaya, Nyariki, Philip, Ken Mwendwa, the late Griffins, Lavy, Virginia, Eugene, Purity, Diana, Vivian, Lucky, Ellah, Trevin, Sherlin, Malachi, Trizah, and Rayden.
Great-Grandmother of Emmanuel, Briden, and Testimony; Aunt to Asande Ogeto, Jefitah Ogeto, the Oburus, the Ateras, the greater Nyariki Mokua Family, the Abinchas (Dennis, Rose Lumumba, among others), the Nyagwayas, the larger Nyameino Family, the Ogaros, the Moturis, and the Nyaberos.

Theres are daily Burial planning meetings at 5:30pm Pekeshe Restaurant, Uchumi House – Aga Khan Walk, Nairobi, at her Mogusii Home (Nyamira), and at Caesar Barare’s Nairobi residence on weekends/ public holidays.
The main fundraising on Tuesday, 21st October 2025, at the Professional Centre, Nairobi from 5:30pm.
The cortege leaves Chiromo Funeral Parlour, Nairobi, on Thursday, 23rd October 2025, for burial at her Mogusii Home on Friday, 24th October 2025.
