It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on to glory of Newton Morrison Ochieng Werah on 22/10/2025 after a long illness, bravely born.
Born on 13/7/2000, Newton was the beloved son of Mourice Otieno Werah and Jane Otunga Nyawara of God Ponge Kanyawino, Kagan of Homa-Bay County.
He was a brother of John Kerry and Carilus Agutu and a grandson of the late Carilus Agutu Werah and the late Hellen Akinyi Agutu as well as late Philip Nyawara and Rose Akeyo Nyawara.
He was nephew of the late Augustine Neto Werah, Alphonce, Robert, the late Benson, Benjamin and Caleb.
His aunties were Josephine Werah, Ebby, Jullyane, Bellah, Joan, Christine, Diana, Irene, the late Anne, Beatrice, Queenter and Christine.
Cousin of Nikki, Esther, Neto, Darliance, Nimrod, Lenah, Leila, Lenni, Temperence, Benson, Eileen, Trevor, Ayla, Renish, Hapoline, Chique, Katos, Brighton, Daddy, Alex, Tonny, Achieng, Byron, Arnold, Laktesia, Shelmith, Timo, Shally, Marsha and Smally.
The cortège leaves Umash Funeral Home, Nairobi on 6/11/2025 at 7am for home in Kagan, Homa Bay County for an overnight vigil at his father’s home followed by a burial service on 7/11/2025 from 9.00am.
The family invites you to join them in a fundraising to be held on Thursday 30/10/2025 from 5pm-8pm at All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi to offset funeral expenses.
