It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our beloved father, Mzee Danson Manegene Kinyua on 11th March 2026.
He was son to the late Jackson Kinyua and the late Jennifer Wambui of Kathiti village, Kirunda Sub-location, Mutira Location, Kirinyaga County.
He was a loving husband of the late Judita Wainoi Manegene and Mary Wanjiku Manegene and cherished dad of Jackson and Mercy Macharia, Ambassador Lucy and Dr. Felix Kiruthu, Mary Nyakio (USA), Eunice Waithira,Winfred and Charles Mwangi, Jane and Douglas Maina, Patrick and Caroline Maina, Esther Muthoni, Rev. Jackson and Esther Muroki, Margaret and Fredrick Mathenge,Tirus Thuo and Lilian Nyaguthii.
Danson was a dear brother of the late Eunice Wanjiku, the late Beatrice Gathoni, the late Johnson Mureithi, Florence Wangechi, the late Reubenson Mwangi, Gladwell Wamutira, Pauline Wangari and Judy Wagatwe.
He leaves behind many grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Meetings are being held daily at his home in Kathiti village. Meetings in Nairobi will be held at St.Andrew’s PCEA Church from 6.00pm on Tuesday 17th March and Wednesday 18th March 2026.
The funeral service will be held on Friday 20th March 2026 at ACK St. Peter’s Kamuiru Church in Kirinyaga county followed by burial at his Kathiti home.
