It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Retired Mwalimu David Muriungi Kabeere (Teacher Kabeere), formerly of Barracks Primary School, Isiolo, and Co-founder of Isiolo Elimu Bookshop, which occurred on the 24th of February 2026.
Son of the late M’Twamwari M’Rinjuri and the late Julia Kirumba. He was a loving husband of Faith Nyegera Nkanata, a devoted father of Celia Joan, Rosemary Mwendwa, Moses Mutethia, and Martin Koome; father-in-law of Derrick Amadalo, Dr. Grace Kwamboka, and Purity Makena.
Grandfather of Roberta Kanana, Pearl Mbayagi, Emmanuella Kinya, Gabriella Kathambi, the late Gabriel Mwenda, Kirsten Elani, Aaron Agida, Gianna Kendi, Gerald Mwaki, and Miguel Kimathi.
He was a brother of Veronica Kaburo, Tsila Kanyua, Rael Nkirote, the late Samuel Nkonge, Joshua Mwiti, Dorothy Gaiti, the late Japhet Murithi, John Bundi, Alex Marangu, and Solomon Mutwiri. Athoni of Erika and Francis Mwondi, Zablon and the late Madam Alice Magoma Mogire, Julias and Lucy Kirimi.
Requiem Mass will be held on Thursday at 4:30 p.m at the Kulamawe Home-Isiolo town.
The cortege will leave Cool Breeze Funeral Home on Friday, 6th March 2026, at 9:00am and followed by a funeral service and thereafter interment at his Ntugi home, Meru.
