It’s with profound sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Mr. Francis Njuguna Macharia (Ng’ethe) of Gitui Village, Murang’a County, which occurred on 17th February 2026 at Coptic Hospital Nairobi.
Loving husband of Mary Wanjiku Njuguna, father of Phyllis Wanjiku, the late James Macharia, Tabitha Wairimu, and Nahashon Gachie.
Father-in-law of Catherine Mumbua.
Grandfather of Angela Mefa, Edward Levi Njuguna, Venus Wanjiku, Abigael Wanjiku, Shantel Wanza, Emmanuel Njuguna and Amani Mutunga.
Brother of the late Zachariah Kang’ethe, the late James Kamau, the late Kang’ethe Macharia Kori, the late Rebecca Nyambura Thayu, Nancy Njeri and Beatrice Wambui.
Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Gitui village, Murang’a County, BVB Restaurant Shauri Moyo and Homeland along Thika Road, Nairobi.
The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral home, Kabati, on Saturday, 28th February 2026 at 8.00 am, followed by a funeral service at A.C.K St. Mark Igwe Church, Gitui.
He will later be laid to rest on his farm at Gitui Village.
