It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Monicah Nyambura Gichohi, who went to be with the Lord on March 15, 2026, at Outspan Hospital, Nyeri.
Monicah was the daughter of the late Gathirwa Kambithi and the late Wangui Gathirwa.
Beloved wife of the late Gladstone Gichohi Kihu and a devoted mother of the late Jane Wangui, Ndumia Gichohi, Elizabeth Wanjiru, Francis Githaiga, Mary Njoki, Paul Maina, Lucy Muthoni, the late Rahab Kagure, David Kariuki, Simon Mwangi, Tonny Waithaka, and Betty Wairimu.
Mother in-law of the late Waruru, Judy, Murathe, Alice, Ngure, Ruth, Maina Kagema, the late Simon Kambogo, Martha, Priscilla and Verc.
She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Pauline, Eric, Mwangi,Joe, Shiro, Gichohi Maina, Kagema, Kelvin Kambogo, Maureen, Melissa, Ryan, Kui, among many others.
She is also survived by several Great-grand children; Lewis, Nyambu, Cayla, Wanjiku, Kagure, Zuri, Murathe and Jakes among others.
Sister of the late Joseph Wanderi, the late Kariuki, the late Lucy Muthoni Kiarie, James Gatundu, and Beatrice Wairimu.
She was a wonderful aunt to the Gathirwa cousins and the Waki cousins, and a treasured friend to many.
The funeral service will be held at her home on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 11:00 am in Nyandarua County, Ndaragwa Constituency, Kiriogo Sub-Location, Kahutha Location.
