1951 – 2025
With humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the passing on of our beloved mother, doting grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, daughter, and in-law, Mary Wanza Kithuku, who peacefully rested on 12th July 2025, following injuries sustained from a tragic road accident on 14th June 2025.
Born in 1951, Mary was a cherished daughter of the late Rtd. LR Michael Kimuli Katunge (OSB) and the late Loise Ndue Kimuli, and a beloved daughter-in-law of the late Raymond Kiiti and the late Hellen Kaswii Kiiti.
She was a devoted wife of the late Francis Kithuku Kiiti, and a loving mother of Petronilla Kanini & Stephen Muthusi, Kyalo Kithuku & Victoria Ndinda, Mark & Alice, and a guardian mother of Faith Nthambi & Dalton Mbondo. A proud and affectionate grandmother of Agnes Wanza & Joseph Gacheru, Juvinaries Ndunda & Christine Mwongeli, Veronica Muthusi & Apollo Ndege, Francis Kithuku, Mary Kyalo, Janet Kyalo, Meshack Kyalo, and Tristan Kithuku.
Great-grandmother of Cayden, Nolan, Alyssa, Cian, and Ariella.
Loving sister of Kimeu & the late Elizabeth, Mateta & Grishon, Mutulu & Michael, Ngunga & Regina, the late Ngolo & Rachael, the late Mbithi & Francisca, the late Nguta, Ndumba & Daniel, Makau & Angela, the late Susan & Francis, Juma & Veronica, the late Kyalo, Rev Mbai & Ven. Canon Scholar, and Matano & Prisca.
Dear sister-in-law of Edward, Michael, Morris, Masila, Musyoka, Mulinge, the late Nzambu, the late Kimindu, Bridgit, Veronica, Rose, Bibiana, Elizabeth, Mueni, Mumo, Mary, Anna, and the late Syokau.
Beloved cousin of Honourable Adelina Mwau, the First Deputy Governor of Makueni County, among other distinguished relatives. An aunt to many and a friend to countless others – a motherly soul whose warmth, generosity, and unwavering faith left a lasting imprint on everyone who knew her. Thanks to God for the precious gift of Mary Wanza.
The cortege leaves Montenzuma Machakos Funeral Home at 6:00 AM on Saturday, 26th July 2025, for a funeral service and burial at her home in Uiini Village, Malili, Mukaa, Makueni County.
Family and friends are gathering daily at her Malili home for prayers and funeral preparations.
