It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of our beloved Mary Mong’ina Omwega, which occurred on 18th January 2026 at Bosongo Hospital, Kisii.
Loving daughter of the late Sato Nyang’ai, Nyamboba, and Moraa Mogusero.
Beloved wife of Albert Michael Omwega. Devoted mother of the late George Morara, Alice Kerubo (Nairobi), the late Norah Kwamboka, William Ombega (Australia), Geoffrey Ngare (Eldoret), Cliff Nyamweya (USA), James Monari, and Violet Moraa (UAE).
Loving mother-in-law of Christopher Marenge, Isabella Mulama (Australia), Esther Kiprop (Eldoret), Melyn Ogeto (USA) among others.

The cortege will leave KTRH on Friday, 6th February 2026 at 12:00 noon for a church service at Kisii Central SDA Church, thereafter proceeding to her home in Nyankongo.
The burial service will be held on Sunday, 8th February 2026 at Nyankongo Primary DOK Grounds, followed by interment at her home in Nyankongo ,Mwamosioma.
