It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mary Basweti Nyachae on 7th October 2025.
Mary was the beloved daughter of the late Hon. Simeon Nyachae, the late Drucilla Kerubo Nyachae, and the late Esther Nyaboke Nyachae; and of Martha Mwango Nyachae and Grace Wamuyu Nyachae.
She was the cherished granddaughter of the late Senior Chief Musa Nyandusi and the late Mama Paulina Bosibori, the late Sing’ombe Otero Omenyo and the late Abigael Nyakara Nyabosaga.
She was a devoted and loving mother of Caroline Kerubo Ogeto and Brian Nyandusi Nyachae, and a doting grandmother of Jay, Sam and Ashley. She was also a beloved mother-in-law of Paul Gacoka.
Mary was a cherished sister of many, a beloved aunty of many, and a loyal friend of countless people whose lives she touched deeply.
She will be fondly remembered for her grace, strength, humility, and generosity, as well as the warmth she shared with family and friends alike.
A prayer meeting will be held at All Saints Cathedral on Tuesday 21st October at 5:30 p.m.
The Memorial Service will take place at Nairobi Chapel, Ngong Road, on Friday 24th October at 9:00 a.m.
The Funeral Service and Burial will be held on Monday 27th October 2025 at the family home in Nyosia, Kisii County.
